Cricketing giant from Asia, Sri Lanka, will be embarking on their ambitious tour this year to the Africa, as they will face the mighty South African chin music. Sri Lanka tour of South Africa 2011 begins on the December 15, 2011, as has been scheduled by the International Cricket Council, and accepted by cricketing boards of both the country, namely the Sri Lanka Cricket Board and Cricket South Africa. Both the teams are well balanced, with good reserve bench strength. The other two Test matches will be played at Durban and Cape Town, on December 26, 2011, and January 3, 2012 respectively. This Test Series is important for both teams, as it will prove their dominance in the longest format of the game.
After the completion of the Test Series, Sri Lanka tour to South Africa fill have the One Day International Series. There are 5 ODIs in this bilateral series, with the first one being played at Paarl. The game will be held on January 11, 2012, and will be a D/N affair. The other D/N matches will be played on Bloemfontein and Kimberly, on the January 14 and 20, 2012 respectively.
